Honda CB 750 Caf� 1 by White House Japan

Il 2009 è stato caratterizzato dall uscita, dai listini giapponesi della Honda, di un modello storico che in passato è stato importato anche in Italia: la famosa CB 750.

Le ragioni che hanno messo fine alla carriera di questa pietra miliare della casa dellala dorata sono probabilmente da ricercare nella difficilissima situazione economica del mercato motociclistico nipponico e, soprattutto, al periodo di crisi che ha colpito leconomia mondiale.
La CB 750 anche se aveva dalla sua linee classiche e senza eccessi, esaltate però dallultima versione speciale in edizione limitata - commercializzata nel 2007 e dedicata al grandissimo campione americano Freddie Spencer (foto sotto) - era caratterizzata da soluzioni tecniche convenzionali ed economiche.

Rispetto alla progenitrice che ha cambiato il modo di intendere la motocicletta, la CB 750 ha perso nel tempo quellappeal proprio delle prime versioni e i ragazzi giapponesi della White House hanno approntato un kit estetico, a mio parere riuscitissimo, per "rivitalizzare" la linea di questa quadricilindrica raffreddata ad aria ed alimentata a carburatori.

La CB 750 è stata trasformata in una splendida replica stradale della fantastiche Honda da Endurance RCB 1000 ed RS 1000 (di cui vi ho già parlato precendentemente) vincitrici di ben cinque campionati dal 1976 al 1980!

Nelle immagini seguenti è possibile osservare la moto in varie versioni che si differenziano sostanzialmente per le carenature (semi o completa), per le colorazioni (replica RCB, Carbon e Silver), e per alcuni particolari come la colorazione del singolo scarico, le sospensioni, il serbatoio, e i carburatori.
Ovviamente preferisco il classico tricolore Honda, ma devo riconoscere una certa eleganza anche alle altre due livree, caratterizzate nel terzo caso dal bellissimo contrasto tra il serbatoio in alluminio e il nero delle sovrastrutture e nellultimo da uneleganza e sobrietà tipica degli abbinamenti cromatici delle Honda negli anni 80.

Volevo farvi notare anche altri particolari degni di nota come gli ammortizzatori posteriori Ohlins e Showa, il bellissimo codone monoposto, gli attacchi rapidi delle carene, la nuova piastra di sterzo con i nuovi semimanubri, i due piccoli faretti che emergono dal nuovo cupolino, gli specchietti retrovisori "a cono", le nuove fiancatine laterali in carbonio, e lo splendido scarico quattro in uno.

Oltre a complimentarmi con i ragazzi della Whitehouse per questo splendido lavoro spero che questo filone delle "Endurance Replica" possa prendere piede al più presto in modo tale da allargare ulteriormente la scelta nel segmento delle moto ispirate a linee del passato.
