Yamaha XJR 400 R 2008
Anche la Yamaha, come Kawasaki, Honda e Suzuki, ha nella sua gamma dedicata al mercato giapponese, una naked di cilindrata 400. La Yamaha XJR è un modello che, nella cilindrata 1300, conosciamo già, ma in Giappone questo modello ha avuto e ha tuttora una carriera commerciale di tutto rispetto. Credo, a giudicare dalla quantità dei modelli presenti, che il settore naked sia il segmento che garantisce il maggior numero di vendite sul suolo giapponese, e a sostegno della mia tesi, cè anche il tentativo qualche anno fa da parte della Ducati, di esportare in Giappone la Monster nella versione 400 (peraltro venduta in pochi esemplari anche in Italia).
La XJR è dotata di un quattro cilindri in linea frontemarcia, alimentato a carburatori. Anteriormente ci sono due freni a disco stretti da pinze Sumitomo e i doppi ammortizzatori sono marchiati Ohlins. La linea della moto è molto pulita e filante e, cosi come per la Kawasaki, anche questa moto si rifà alle maxi-naked giapponesi tanto in voga negli anni 70. A giudicare dalla presenza costante di questa moto nel catalogo giapponese della Yamaha, ritengo che abbia anche un buon successo tra i motociclisti giapponesi.
Nelle foto la potete osservare nei colori 2008...conoscendo la bravura che ha la Yamaha nel definire le grafiche delle sue moto, mi aspettavo livree che accentuassero il carattere da muscle-bike, ma evidentemente hanno preferito utilizzare colori più sobri.
